I discovered The Giving Tree Sober Living Home in Santa Barbara when I was searching for a good transitional residence for my daughter. I have to say that it has been instrumental to her sobriety. As a mom who was desperate for a healthy and thriving environment for her recovery, The Giving Tree has been just that. Donette Beall, the house director, is an exceptional person and has proven to be a key element to how effective the house functions. I am so impressed, and relieved, at how well my daughter has done there. This home has provided the perfect combination of care, support, discipline, team work, and close community ties; all so necessary for someone in recovery. I could not thank Donette and The Giving Tree Home enough for what they have meant for me, and especially my daughter. It has truly been a life-changing/saving experience.

The Giving Tree saved my life! I spent two years there and it taught me how to live life sober. I made life long friends and recommend it to everyone! I tell everyone who is trying to get clean to go to sober living because it provides a safe environment with lots of support and accountability. 28 day rehabilitation centers are very valuable, but if one goes right back to their same environment afterwards, chances for relapse are high. I went to CRC and The Giving Tree afterwards, and now have seven years of sobriety. Donette is the owner and a true angel, and the rest of the staff are as well. I am eternally grateful for The Giving Tree!

This placed has saved my life and I cant express the amount of gratitude I have towards the staff and women who live there. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Would suggest to anyone looking to change their life!

This Sober Living is the BEST in town. I spent 3 years at the Giving tree as both a resident and staff. I absolutely love this place... I was overwhelmed by LOVE, integrity, safety and respect. I can honestly say the staff was exceptional and The Giving Tree has saved my life.

Amazing things happen when you pass through these doors. Women grow up, make lifelong friends, learn loyalty, earn respect and find forgiveness. The Giving Tree sober living in Santa Barbara is a very special place in my heart because it truly saved my life. Not only did it save my life but taught me and gave me the tools I needed to live clean and sober and gave me the opportunity to have an amazing life today.
